Abel Ferrara might not have had any luck getting his crazy version of The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde off the ground, but it seems like ABC is hellbent on bringing what sounds like a metrosexual fantasy to life on a weekly basis. Read on for the horror-less details.
"Falling Skies" star Jessy Schram has signed on to appear in an early episode of ABC's upcoming fairy tales-based series "Once Upon a Time" as the character of Cinderella. No word on whether it'll be more than a one-time shot, but with the show set to premiere on Sunday, October 23rd, we should be finding out soon enough.
We've been on the fence about ABC's fairy tale based "Once Upon a Time", but some recent casting news has us a bit more interested. David Anders, Uncle John from "The Vampire Diaries", and Paula Marshall ("Californication", I Know Who Killed Me) have signed on for roles in the show along with "Breaking Bad"'s Giancarlo Esposito.
The pilot screening and panel for ABC's new midseason show "The River" just ended, and The Woman in Black reported in with the highlights and photos of the mini-posters they handed out. We'll be providing a full "first impressions" story on the episode (and better pictures of the posters) soon, but here are a few comments on the pilot:

The TV networks are beginning to announce their fall 2011 premiere dates, and the fairy tale based "Once Upon a Time" has landed in pretty much a perfect spot for genre fare: the month of October. Sunday, October 23rd, at 8:00 PM to be exact.

A good bit of casting news for ABC's upcoming "Once Upon a Time" from "Lost" executive producers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz has come in over the past several days so we thought we'd just condense everything into one easy-to-find location.
And the cast for ABC's "The River" continues to grow. We take this as a good sign as the more characters there are, the higher the probability is that they will end up dead, dispatched in some hopefully heinous supernatural way!
Another actor is ready to toss his raft into ABC's "The River," and we have got the info for you right here! Set sail for the scoop by reading on.
