The #1 Show on HBO Max is a Super Gruesome Yet Highly Acclaimed Medical Drama

We’re in the era of prestige television. For some, that’s a blessing. For others (like myself) with endless backlogs, it’s a curse. There’s more and better television out there than ever before, and keeping up with the latest and greatest can be a challenge. If you need some direction, HBO Max has you covered. The second season of the critically acclaimed (and Emmy Award-winning) The Pitt is currently the most-streamed series on the platform. If you’ve missed out on all the buzz, check out a trailer below:
The Pitt’s conceit is a compelling one. Unlike its medical drama peers, The Pitt takes place over a single 15-hour shift at a fictional Pittsburgh trauma center. Each episode covers approximately an hour of the shift, creating a propulsive, stressful, and eminently watchable series. It’s almost a compulsion at this point, and with the second season off to such a strong start, now is as good a time as any to catch up on what everyone can’t stop raving about.
What do you think? Are you a fan of The Pitt? How do you think it compares to other medical dramas? Be sure to let me know over on Twitter @Chadiscollins.
