Ice Nine Kills are back again in the horror headlines with a hot new track tied to one of the year’s most anticipated horror sequels. The band has unveiled “Hell or High Slaughter (Grave Diggler: Pt. 2),” a re-recorded glam metal anthem featured in Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, now playing only in theaters.

The song lands alongside a newly released, NSFW music video currently available exclusively on YouTube (and below). It marks a concept release surrounding Ice Nine Kills frontman Spencer Charnas and the fictional legacy of his “father’s” band, Grave Diggler.

The idea? Once a sleazy, hard-partying glam act that briefly rivaled bands like Mötley Crüe and W.A.S.P., Grave Diggler faded into obscurity by the early ’90s. Now, thanks to the Ready or Not sequel, their music is clawing its way back into relevance. A tangled legal battle between generations led to Ice Nine Kills actually re-recording the song, while a long-banned 1987 music video has at last resurfaced.

“This movie, and this song… brought a lot of complicated feelings to the surface,” Charnas said with a wink. “Hell or High Slaughter (Grave Diggler: Pt. 2)” appears both early in the film and over its closing credits. Watch the video here:

But that ain’t all… a mockumentary, Laid to Rest: The Grave Diggler Story, is also in the works, featuring interviews with Ready or Not 2 stars Samara Weaving and Kathryn Newton, as well as Elijah Wood and directing duo Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett.

For Ice Nine Kills, it’s another high-profile horror crossover in a streak that already includes collaborations with Terrifier and Scream 7.

As for Grave Diggler… well, some family secrets refuse to stay buried… Ice Nine Kills Drop “Hell or High Slaughter” for Ready or Not 2: Here I Come.
