Mia Goth To Star in ‘Fonda’ From ‘Anatomy of a Fall’ Filmmaker Justine Treit

Acclaimed filmmaker Justine Triet is gearing up for her first feature since Anatomy of a Fall.

Titled Fonda, the psychological thriller will star Mia Goth, Andrew Scott, Frank Dillane, and Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, and potentially Allison Janney.

The film is described as an ensemble piece led by Goth. Set within a seemingly idyllic family, Fonda is a psychological thriller that explores the fragile limits of the human mind as grief and obsession take hold. Triet is writing and directing.

According to Deadline, the official synopsis reads: “A psychological thriller set in a seemingly idyllic huis clos, Fonda takes us on a vertiginous dive into the shifting limits of a sound mind, as grief and obsession take hold.”

Fonda will reunite Triet with Anatomy of a Fall producers and Studiocanal has joined as a financing and co producing partner.

Anatomy of a Fall won the Palme d’Or at Cannes in 2023 and went on to secure an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay, fortifying Triet as one of contemporary cinema’s most exciting filmmakers.
