‘The Huntsman’: Epic Pictures Sets February Release for New Shawn Ashmore Thriller
Epic Pictures has announced a North American release date for its upcoming mystery-thriller The Huntsman. The film will open in select theaters on February 6, 2026, followed by a VOD release on February 10, 2026.
Based on Judith Sanders’ award-winning novel, The Huntsman is directed by Kyle Kauwika Harris from a script he co-wrote with Steven Jon Whritner. The film stars Shawn Ashmore, Elizabeth Mitchell, Jessy Schram, and Garret Dillahunt.
The official synopsis centers on an ICU nurse who volunteers to assist a coma patient accused of murdering six women—only to find himself pulled into a dangerous psychological maze of obsession, deception, and buried secrets as a detective races against time.
Epic Pictures CEO Patrick Ewald describes The Huntsman as a “dark, atmospheric, twist-forward mystery” driven by strong performances and sustained suspense.
