Focus Features Unveils FocusFest: A One-Day Immersive Film Festival at Universal Studios
Focus Features is bringing its legacy of bold, auteur-driven cinema to life with FocusFest. This brand-new one-day festival experience blends screenings, immersive environments, and fan-first programming.
The first-ever event will take place on Saturday, October 18, 2025, on the iconic Universal Studios lot in Los Angeles. Hosted by TikTok star and film influencer Juju Green (aka @straw_hat_goofy), FocusFest will highlight the studio’s eclectic slate of past and present hits while offering audiences a taste of the future.
The program includes screenings of cult favorite The Big Lebowski, Academy Award®-winning Promising Young Woman, and a special advance showing of Yorgos Lanthimos’s highly anticipated new film Bugonia. Starring Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons, Bugonia has already earned raves on the festival circuit, with premieres at Cannes, Venice, and Telluride cementing its place as one of the year’s most talked-about titles.
Beyond the theater, FocusFest promises a festival experience designed for fans: themed photo ops, curated food and drink inspired by the films, and exclusive merchandise drops tied to Focus’s library of modern classics.
