The Most Watched Crime Thriller Series on Netflix Is Unhinged and Fast-Paced: “Thank me later”

Under the Dark Sun

Sometimes, I really crave a short, punchy television series that doesn’t require a long-term commitment. As much as I like a program that I can keep coming back to time and again, there’s something to be said for a show you can binge over the course of a single weekend.

That’s why I have become so fond of limited series in recent years. I dig the idea that we’re dealing with a one-and-done scenario where I don’t have to wonder if the property will be renewed or question if we’ll ever get answers to any lingering questions that remain. With a limited series, I get to experience the program over the course of a couple of days and move on.

If you’re looking for a streaming obsession that fits those parameters, we have something specific in mind that you might enjoy. That’s right, dear reader, the French miniseries Under a Dark Sky recently landed on the Netflix platform and fans are already tuning in en masse. The program currently sits as the #1 crime thriller series on the streamer and the sixth most watched television show overall.

The setup for the limited series Under a Dark Sky goes like this:

Fleeing a troubled past, a young mother finds herself accused of murdering her new boss on a flower-growing estate, only to discover that he was actually her father.

I mentioned that Netflix subscribers have been enthusiastically tuning in and checking out this six-episode series and I have every intent of backing up that claim with receipts.

In fact, I’ve scoured X for a sampling of reactions and embedded a handful of them for you to check out below.

As you can see, people seem to be connecting with the program, and it sounds like there are plenty of twists and turns in store for anyone who ventures to seek the series out. If you are game to see how the proceedings play out, make your way over to Netflix to see what you think.

That’s all that we’ve got for you, for the time being. Make sure to stay tuned to the site in the near future for more essential updates from the streaming scene.
