Check Out the Trailer for Upcoming Action Thriller ‘Blind Cop 2’ [Exclusive]

Blind Cop 2

Indie horror is in the midst of a worthwhile heyday. There are more opportunities for more people than ever before to pour their hearts out on the screen and make whatever weird movies their hearts can come up with. I love it, so naturally I was taken with the trailer for Blind Cop 2, which we’re excited to premiere here at Dread Central. Check out the trailer and synopsis below:

Synopsis: Once a revered, crime-fighting legend despite his blindness, Blind Cop is now a broken man after the mysterious murder of his partner, Mac. When a clue at a robbery links back to Mac’s death, Blind Cop spirals into a rogue investigation that pits him against crime lords, crooked cops, and his own haunted past. With the help of an eager young fan, Schmidty, he uncovers a conspiracy led by a shadowy kingpin and discovers the truth he seeks may not be what he expected. In a blaze of vengeance and redemption, Blind Cop fights to bring justice his own way—no badge, no rules.

Blind Cop 2 is directed and co-written by Alec Bonk, and it looks… incredible? George Fearing and Isaac McKinnon star. It’s neon, it’s bonkers, it’s endearing. It’s indie grindhouse filmmaking in its purest form, and I’m absolutely here for it. If you’re a fan of balls-to-the-wall 1980s action thrillers, Blind Cop 2 looks almost tailor-made for you. Bring on the blind blood!

You’ll be able to catch Blind Cop 2 in theaters this summer. Blind Cop 2 will be speeding down the interstate, exclusively available as part of a theatrical roadshow along the East Coast, much like the release of Hundreds of Beavers (which you need to see if you haven’t), with later plans to expand nationwide. There are currently no plans for a streaming or video-on-demand release in the immediate future. If you want to see Blind Cop 2, you’re gonna have to see it theatrically, baby.

Blind Cop 2 is “bizarre, bold, and proudly DIY,” and “made for those who love midnight movies and VHS gems eager for cinematic experiences in a theatrical setting.” You’ll be able to see for yourself this summer. In the meantime, let me know your thoughts on Blind Cop 2 over on Twitter @Chadiscollins. Are you looking forward to it? Any plans to check it out theatrically? I wanna hear all about it.
