‘McCurdy Point’ Trailer Teases A Boys Trip From Hell

Did you know that Maine is the second most haunted state in America? At least, that’s what the trailer for the upcoming found footage film, McCurdy Point, says. Whatever lurks in the Maine wilderness is ready to ruin a group’s vacation in the film made by and starring members of the improv comedy troupe, The Groundlings.
In the film, “Four friends documenting a celebratory getaway to a remote cabin in the woods of Maine, only to find themselves pulled into something far more sinister.”
Now watch the official trailer:
Ryan Gaul (Superstore), Kiel Kennedy, Joey Krulock, Christian Noah Roberts, Allison Dunbar (The Sopranos), Patty Guggenheim (Twisted Metal), and Laird Macintosh (The Mick) star in McCurdy Point.
Jeremy Brothers and Nick Paonessa co-direct from a script by Brothers and Gaul, based on an idea by Kennedy. Brothers, Paonessa, Gaul, and Kennedy serve as producers, with Chris Gierowski (Don’t Fuck in the Woods) and Matthew Gudernatch serving as executive producers.
“In a lot of horror movies, you can’t wait until some characters get killed off,” Gaul told Bloody Disgusting. “It’s something that we noticed because a lot of them are unlikable. We wanted to flip that and create characters you sympathize with. Hopefully, audiences walk away feeling like they lost some friends.”
“We had a lot of versatility in both the cast and crew because we all have a background of working in improv comedy,” added Brothers. “It helped us keep up with the always-changing situations that always come up during a film production.”
McCurdy Point is currently on the festival circuit.
