Megan Fox Stuns in This “Intense” Thriller, Now Streaming on Netflix

Netflix Till Death

Megan Fox has really never gotten a fair deal. I’m not going to relitigate decades of Hollywood misogyny, but know that I believe Fox is a more talented performer than her harshest critics would have you believe. After all, nothing in cult classic Jennifer’s Body works without her, and it’s a considerably more complex performance than “sexy succubus”. In recent years, Fox has been cropping up in more and more horror films, and I’ve largely been a pretty big fan.

Rogue pits her against some killer lions in a goofy The Ghost and the Darkness riff, and Subservience… well, Fox is really good in it. Speaking of Subservience, director S.K. Dale previously helmed Till Death. Dale made his debut there, and it similarly stars Megan Fox. It’s also incredible, and streaming now on Netflix. What are you waiting for?

Check out more about Till Death below:

Per Netflix: A woman wakes to find herself shackled to her dead spouse as part of a revenge plot. With two killers on the way, a desperate battle for survival begins.

Till Death is gnarly stuff. In my 3.5-star review way back in 2021, I called Till Death, “a solidly crafted home invasion slasher that relishes in its own bloodshed and commanding central performance,” adding, “Megan Fox is always a welcome horror star, a contemporary scream queen with more grit and grunge than most, and she’s as good here as she’s ever been.” Seriously. Till Death is worth it for Megan Fox’s performance alone. It’s one of the most underrated performances the horror genre has seen in some time.

Here at Dread Central, I’m not the only fan of Till Death. Our own Tyler Doupé penned a wonderful editorial, writing, “The flick is chilling, darkly comedic, suspenseful, and features some serviceable twists throughout. Not to mention, Megan Fox is a welcome sight who shines in the lead role. If you’re a fan of self-contained thrillers, you’ll love this intense effort.”

Megan Fox really is excellent, and Till Death is much meaner than you might think. I’m all about earnestness in the horror genre, and Till Death is the rare high-concept thriller willing to take itself seriously.

What do you think? Do you have any plans to check out Till Death on Netflix? If you do, let me know what you think of this underrated gem over on Twitter @Chadiscollins. After all, I’m cited on the film’s Wikipedia page.
