“Savage” New Denzel Washington Thriller Dominates Netflix Charts

It is Denzel Washington Wednesday, and I would like to redirect your attention to his latest movie to hit Netflix. The violent 2023 thriller saw him close out a three-film arc on one of the most compelling characters action fans have seen in years. I am talking about The Equalizer 3, and I am here to explain why you should watch Robert McCall’s final brutal bow.

In the film,

“Since giving up his life as a government assassin, Robert McCall (Denzel Washington) has struggled to reconcile the horrific things he’s done in the past and finds a strange solace in serving justice on behalf of the oppressed. Finding himself surprisingly at home in Southern Italy, he discovers his new friends are under the control of local crime bosses. As events turn deadly, McCall knows what he has to do: become his friends’ protector by taking on the mafia.”

Many fans think this is the perfect ending to this brutal trilogy. Others are emotional because they want more time with this deadly Denzel Washington character.

The Equalizer 3 was directed by Antoine Fuqua. It was written by Richard Wenk. The script is based on a 1980s TV series, The Equalizer, created by Michael Sloan and Richard Lindheim. This movie stars Denzel Washington, Dakota Fanning, David Denman, and Gaia Scodellaro. It is the last film in the action-packed trilogy.

I watched this whole trilogy because of the Denzel Washington of it all. I was also one of the people who got way too emotional seeing him share the screen again with Dakota Fanning. The dynamic duo broke our hearts in 2004’s Man on Fire.

Have you watched The Equalizer 3 on Netflix? Was it your favorite entry in this Denzel Washington-led trilogy? Let me know your rankings at @misssharai.
