This ‘Terrifier 3’ Trailer Is A Controversial Christmas Eve Shocker [Watch]

Terrifier 3

Art the Clown slides down the chimney for a trailer of all-new footage created to support the release of 2024’s Terrifier 3. The controversial new preview debuted exclusively in theaters with the re-release of Terrifier 2 on November 1 and led to a lively debate about the portrayal of violence against children in horror films. Check out the promo below to see what the fuss was all about.

From writer-director Damien Leone, Terrifier 3 hits theaters nationwide on October 25, 2024. In the sequel, Art the Clown will unleash chaos on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve.

David Howard Thornton reprises his iconic role as Art the Clown from the first two films, including Dread’s own 2017 horror classic Terrifer.

Peek the teaser for Terrifer 3 right here:

Director Damien Leone seems keenly aware of fan expectations for the third film and noted, “We’re going to have a bigger budget. We’re shooting in anamorphic widescreen, so I want it to feel more like an old-school John Carpenter movie. It’s going to still have that epic feel of part two, but now have the tone of part one with Christmas.”

In the same conversation, Leone revealed that Terrifier 3 will feel like a “different beast,” while still revitalizing everything that made the franchise so exciting and dangerous with the previous two installments.

Here’s the grisly poster art, in case you missed it earlier this month:

You can catch the first Terrifier on both Prime Video and Peacock, or grab a copy of it on Blu-ray here.
