Netflix Horror: These Jordan Peele Thrillers Are Dominating the Netflix Streaming Charts This October

Jordan Peele

Jordan Peele first arrived on the horror scene back in 2017. After years of MadTV and the Peabody-winning Key & Peele sketch show, Blumhouse announced Peele would be directing a horror movie. The trailer looked promising, even if the skeletal deer didn’t make the final cut, but no one could have anticipated the impact (and Oscars) Get Out would have.

Since then, Peele’s additional directorial efforts, Us and Nope, have been bonafide critical and commercial successes. There are few horror creatives working the way Jordan Peele is, and it seems the fans agree. Presently, both Get Out and Us are ranking in Netflix’s top 10 at the sixth and seventh spot respectively.

Check out the trailers for both here:

Beyond his directorial efforts, Jordan Peele has also Executive Produced the rebooted iteration of The Twilight Zone and the cancelled-too-soon Max series Lovecraft Country. He is also credited as a writer on Nia DaCosta’s incredible legacy sequel Candyman while also co-starring and co-writing the criminally underrated stop-motion feature Wendell & Wild.

While that’s plenty of Jordan Peele, fans can’t seem to get enough of his first two features, and they’ve taken to Twitter to share their glee that both Us and Get Out are streaming right now. Check out some choice fan reactions below:

I’m not playing. It’s really happening. Both Get Out and Us are very different kinds of horror, though I’d reasonably argue that neither is weaker than the other. They’re both masterpieces and if you’ve somehow been living under Patrick Star’s rock these past few years, they’re now available to stream. Go and see what everyone has been fussing about since 2017.

You ever heard of Jordan Peele?

What do you think? Have you checked out any of Jordan Peele’s movies on Netflix? Among his filmography, what’s your favorite? Let me know over on Twitter @Chadiscollins where I haven’t shut up about Nope since last summer.
