This #1 Thriller Series Netflix Has Viewers Fired Up: “Cancel the plans and press play”

Unseen

The genre is not just winning on the film charts. It’s also dominating the TV arena, and we love to see it. We’re very happy that this week saw a South African series claim the top spot on the Netflix charts. Our new #1 thriller series on the streamer is Unseen.

In the show, Zenzi Mwale hides behind her identity as an unremarkable cleaning lady while desperately searching for her husband after he’s released from prison.

Unseen was created by Ozgur Onurme and stars Frank Rautenbach, Gail Mabalane, and Mothusi Magano.

All six episodes landed on Netflix last week. Twitter is still recovering from this relentless thriller. Most viewers are praising the performances, gasping at the kills, and calling the series brilliant. Some are even clamoring for Emmy consideration for Gail Mabalane specifically.

The star recently took to Twitter to celebrate the show’s success on the streamer:

Unseen seems like my kind of party. It might also help us slowly climb out of the show hole we went into after we finished Swarm. As someone who loves to see Black women kill it in the genre, getting two shows within the same 30-day span is the dream.

If this Netflix series sounds like it might be something you are into, then check out the trailer below.

We’re living for all the thrillers taking the streaming charts by storm, especially the ones that give us a few episodes of anxiety-inducing kills. Hopefully, this gripping series will find its way into your Netflix queue soon.
