‘Violent Night’ Trailer – David Harbour Is Seeing Red As A Santa With Violence On His Mind

Santa is breaking bad once again, this time with genre superstar David Harbour baring the beard. We reported on the announcement of Violent Night around this time last year, and now we finally have a trailer for the outrageous Univeral release. Check it out below.

The brutal comedy-action cornucopia hails from the same producers as NobodyJohn WickAtomic BlondeDeadpool 2, Bullet Train and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. But this time they’re baking up a coal-dark holiday spectacular that proves you should always bet on red.

In the movie, when a team of mercenaries breaks into a wealthy family compound on Christmas Eve, taking everyone inside hostage, the team isn’t prepared for a surprise combatant: Santa Claus (David HarbourBlack WidowStranger Things series) is on the grounds, and he’s about to show why this Nick is no saint.

Directed by genre regular director Tommy Wirkola (Hansel & Gretel: Witch HuntersDead Snow franchise), Violent Night is produced by 87North’s Kelly McCormick David Leitch and Guy Danella. The original screenplay is by Pat Casey & Josh Miller and the film’s executive producer is Marc S. Fischer. 

The film also stars Emmy winner John Leguizamo (John Wick), Cam Gigandet (Without Remorse), Alex Hassell (Cowboy Bebop), Alexis Louder (The Tomorrow War), Edi Patterson (The Righteous Gemstones) and Beverly D’Angelo (National Lampoon’s Vacation franchise). 

Violent Night slides into theaters on December 2nd.
