‘Hellraiser’ Reboot Has Such Sights To Show You This October [Watch]
Finally, Hulu has announced when David Bruckner’s (The Night House) Hellraiser is slated to hit the platform. And folks, we don’t have to wait much longer! Pinhead and the Cenobites are slicing their way back into our hearts and eyeballs on October 7, 2022.
In Bruckner’s take on Hellraiser:
“A young woman struggling with addiction comes into possession of an ancient puzzle box, unaware that its purpose is to summon the Cenobites, a group of sadistic supernatural beings from another dimension.”
As seen in his previous works, Bruckner is a king at balancing visceral horror with deeper examinations of the horrors of the human condition. Lovers of The Night House can see shades of Hellraiser in the film, so suffice to say this new take on the film is in very capable hands.
Hulu also released a short teaser, giving us a glimpse at Jamie Clayton at the iconic Pinhead.
Watch it now:
It was also recently announced Hellraiser is rated R for “Strong bloody horror violence and gore, language throughout, some sexual content, and brief graphic nudity.” So yeah, it’s going to be a proper Hellraiser film. Plus, Clive Barker is a producer of the film. Support from the original writer himself can only inspire more confidence in Bruckner’s vision.
Odessa A’zion, Adam Faison, Drew Starkey, Brandon Flynn, Aoife Hinds, Jason Liles, Yinka Olorunnife, Selina Lo, Zachary Hing, Kit Clarke star in the film with Goran Visnjic and Hiam Abbass.
