Burning Witches Records Now Releasing LUCKY Soundtrack on Vinyl
We were immensely proud to release Lucky earlier this year.
Life takes a sudden turn for May, a popular self-help book author, when she finds herself the target of a mysterious man with murderous intentions. Every night, without fail he comes after her, and every day the people around her barely seem to notice. With no one to turn to, May is pushed to her limits and must take matters into her own hands to survive and to regain control of her life.
Lucky is the sophomore feature from Iranian-American filmmaker Natasha Kermani (Imitation Girl); the film is written by star Brea Grant. She was the star of the indie darling After Midnight and writer/director of the critically acclaimed dark comedy 12 Hour Shift.
Now fans of horror soundtracks and vinyl can own Jeremy Zuckerman’s score Lucky! It’s being released by Burning Witches Records; pre-orders begin this Friday (May 21st), HERE.
Listen to it now, HERE.
The neo-classical and electronic score completely pinpoints the film and retains all its unsettling power as a stand-alone listen. Experimental use of vocals and Serge modular synthesizer with more traditional orchestral instrumentation, give the score its genius of restraint and cinematic tones. A real masterwork.
- Red vinyl, with insert print including liner note interview with Jeremy Zuckerman by Natasha Kermani and download card. £21
