Since then she’s been busy snagging roles in many new classics. Such as M. Night Shyamalan’s Split and Glass. Plus, Morgan, Marrowbone, and Thoroughbreds.

Anya Taylor-Joy has also conquered the small screen in shows like Peaky Blinders. Plus, Netflix’s canceled Dark Crystal sequel series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.

She also starred in the mega-hit Netflix limited series The Queen’s Gambit.

Up next for Anya Taylor-Joy is Edgar Wright’s Last Night in Soho and Robert Eggers’ Viking revenge epic The Northman. Also, George Miller’s Mad Max prequel Furiosa.

Back in 2017, we hear she has agreed to star in Robert Eggers’ planned remake of F. W. Murnau’s Nosferatu. But it’s been years since we last heard anything about that.

The last time we saw Anya Taylor-Joy on the screen was in Josh Boone’s X-Men horror movie The New Mutants with Maisie Williams, Charlie Heaton, and Alice Braga.

The New Mutants takes place in an isolated hospital. Here a group of young mutants submits to psychiatric monitoring. But when strange occurrences take place, their new abilities and their friendships are tested as they battle to make it out alive.

The MPAA gave the flick a PG-13 rating for violent content, some disturbing/bloody images, some strong language, thematic elements, and suggestive material. It sports a 29% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes. The Critics Consensus reads: Rendering a list of potentially explosive ingredients mostly inert, The New Mutants is a franchise spinoff that’s less than the sum of its super-powered parts.
