Horror History: Happy Birthday, Elizabeth Olsen!

On this day in horror history, Elizabeth Olsen was born in Los Angeles in 1989. She kicked off her career with a quick cameo in her sisters’ sitcom Full House in 1995.

Her genre contributions include Spike Lee’s remake of Oldboy, Red Lights, Martha Marcy May Marlene, Silent House, Wind River, and Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla.

But the rest of the world knows her best as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch.

She first played the role in an end credits tag for Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Her first real go as the character was in Joss Whedon Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. She returned as the character in Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Not to mention Marvel’s ongoing awesome as fuck Black Mirror meets Twilight Zone Disney+ series WandaVision. Seriously, give it a watch. She can be seen next as Wanda Witch or Scarlett Maximoff in Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
