KING KONG (1976) Gets New Collector’s Edition Blu-ray in May

Scream Factory will unleash John Guillermin’s King Kong with Jeff Bridges and Jessica Lange on Collector’s Edition Blu-ray on May 11th. Special features haven’t been announced yet but Scream Factory confirms the two-disc set will include the original theatrical cut and the extended TV version.

Guillermin (The Towering Inferno) directed the remake from a script by Lorenzo Semple Jr. (Flash Gordon). Dino De Laurentiis (Army of Darkness) produced. Bridges stars with Charles Grodin, and Lange in her debut. Carlo Rambaldi (E.T.) designed the Oscar-winning SFX with Rick Baker (American Werewolf in London).
