DEXTER Revival Adds Four New Cast Members Including Julia Jones

Showtime’s limited series Dexter revival with Michael C. Hall hits next year. And today, the cast added four new actors including Julia Jones (The Mandalorian).
Jones will lead the new cast along with Alano Miller (Sylvie’s Love). Johnny Sequoyah (Believe) co-stars with Jack Alcott (The Good Lord Bird).
Jones will play Angela Bishop, the first Native American Chief of Police in her upstate New York town. Sequoyah is Audrey, Bishop’s brash and opinionated teenage daughter. Miller will play Logan, a sergeant for the Iron Lake Police Department and the assistant wrestling coach for the local high school. Alcott is Randall, with whom Dexter has a meaningful encounter (whatever that means…)

This update comes on the heels of Clancy Brown (Pet Sematary Two) joining as the villain. Brown plays Kurt Caldwell, the unofficial mayor of small-town Iron Lake.
Marcos Siega will helm six of the revival’s ten episodes. He will also executive produce with Hall. John Goldwyn will too with Sara Colleton, Bill Carraro, Scott Reynolds. Clyde Phillips, the showrunner on the first four seasons, returns as well.
Gary Levine and Jana Winograde, Presidents of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc. said in a statement: “Dexter is such a special series, both for its millions of fans and for Showtime, as this breakthrough show helped put our network on the map many years ago. We would only revisit this unique character if we could find a creative take that was truly worthy of the brilliant, original series. Well, I am happy to report that Clyde Phillips and Michael C. Hall have found it, and we can’t wait to shoot it and show it to the world!”
Production begins next month in Massachusetts with a premiere set for fall 2021.
