Netflix Snags Strong Female Lead Sci-Fi Script ENDURANCE

Netflix has snatched up a hot sci-fi spec written by Dalton Leeb and Nicholas Jacobson-Larson called Endurance. Simon Kinberg (Dark Phoenix) will produce via his Genre Films banner.
While plot details for Endurance are being kept under tight wraps, we do hear via THR that it’s described as an original concept centering on a strong female lead with franchise potential.

Before the sale of this first script, Leeb was a commercials actor, and Jacobson-Larson was a composer and conductor on tour with Michael Bublé. But expect that to change as their script garnered multiple bids, almost hitting seven figures, a massive payday for the first-time writers.

In the meantime, remember that Simon Kinberg’s next flick as a producer is The Stand director Josh Boone’s X-Men horror movie The New Mutants with Anya Taylor-Joy, Maisie Williams, Charlie Heaton, Henry Zaga, and Alice Braga which will be unleashed on April 3rd.
The New Mutants is directed by Josh Boone and produced by Simon Kinberg, Karen Rosenfelt, and Lauren Shuler Donner from a script by Boone and Knate Lee based on the comic by Chris Claremont and Bob McLeod. It centers on five young mutants, just discovering their abilities while held in a facility against their will, who must fight to escape their sins and save themselves.
