While folks who attended Tokyo Comic-Con this past weekend were treated to some exclusive content from Godzilla: King of the Monsters (like concept art, audio, and previously unseen footage), trailer #2 has yet to be unleashed upon the masses (as many hoped it would). Still, we can now state with confidence exactly when we’ll see the next trailer for the film, and it comes straight from the mouth of the King of the Monsters director, Michael Dougherty.
The second trailer for Godzilla: King of the Monsters will hit the internet this Sunday, December 9th! Dougherty made the announcement via Instagram; you can check out the post and follow the filmmaker below.

Dougherty directed from a screenplay he co-penned with Zach Shields; the film stars Millie Bobby Brown, Vera Farmiga, and Sally Hawkins. Godzilla: King of the Monsters will smash into US theaters beginning May 31st.
The crypto-zoological agency Monarch faces off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah.
