Ben Young’s Extinction has a sordid history. The film, which stars Michael Pena and Lizzy Caplan, was originally set to be released by Universal this past January before the studio pulled it from its release slate back in November.
Then in February, Netflix stepped up to release the film, and today we have the film’s trailer and poster for your viewing pleasure.
Extinction is directed by Ben Young (Hounds of Love) from a script by Eric Heisserer, Spenser Cohen, and Bradley Caleb Kane. Todd Lieberman and David Hoberman produce. Mandeville’s Alexander Young executive produces alongside Nathan Kahane and Joe Drake of Good Universe. Anna Halberg serves as co-producer.
Exec VP of production Erik Baiers and creative executive Mika Pryce oversaw production for Universal. Erin Westerman oversaw on behalf of Good Universe. It hits Netflix on July 27th.
