Netflix’s LOST IN SPACE Returns for Season 2

Danger, Will Robinson! A month or so ago, Netflix debuted their new original reboot series based on the classic TV series Lost in Space. I know a ton of people who have watched and enjoyed the series, but I have yet to check it out myself. And I’d better get cracking a Netflix has just announced season 2!

Yes, it looks like the show’s official Twitter account just put up a tweet/video confirming the series will return for a second season soon. You can check out the tweet and the announcement video below.

The Netflix original series stars Toby Stephens as John Robinson, Molly Parker as Maureen Robinson, Taylor Russell as Judy, Mina Sudwall as Penny, Dr. Smith played by Parker Posey, Don West is played by Ignacio Serricchio, and Max Jenkins as Will Robinson.

The series is produced by Legendary Television and written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless. Zack Estrin serves as showrunner. The three are executive producers alongside Synthesis Entertainment’s Kevin Burns and Jon Jashni with Neil Marshall and Marc Helwig. The original series was created by Irwin Allen. Season one is now streaming on Netflix.

Synopsis:

Lost in Space is a Netflix Original dramatic and modern reimagining of the classic 1960’s science fiction series. Set 30 years in the future, colonization in space is now a reality, and the Robinson family is among those tested and selected to make a new life for themselves in a better world. But when the new colonists find themselves abruptly torn off course en route to their new home they must forge new alliances and work together to survive in a dangerous alien environment, lightyears from their original destination.
