It was only a matter of time before we got a horror movie take on the new holiday standard that is “The Elf on the Shelf.” Kind of amazing to think neither Syfy nor Charles Band made this movie first. That honor goes to The Elf, and he’s anything but one of Santa’s little helpers.

Justin Price (The 13th Friday) is the filmmaker responsible for this escapee from the Smith’s Grove Sanitarium of misfit toys. The Elf stars Gabriel Miller, Natassia Halabi, Lassiter Holmes, Les Best, and, of course, The Elf.

Uncork’d Entertainment uncorks The Elf onto VOD November 7th and then makes it ready to deliver under your tree when it arrives on DVD December 12th.
