The Conjuring 2’s Crooked Man Might Get His Own Spinoff Film

If this actually happens, then I have a feeling The Conjuring series will be responsible for the most spinoffs of any film in cinematic history. According to Annabelle: Creation producer Peter Safran, who spoke with JoBlo, the “Crooked Man” from The Conjuring 2 may very well get his own spinoff film, stating, “…I suspect a movie with him would be really really cool.” He then adds, “…we have some interesting ideas for him. So we’ll see.

Played by Javier Botet (Mama, Two Pigeons), the “Crooked Man” was thought by many to be a CG creation. However, he was 100% practical and was brought to life by Botet’s lanky figure and incredible flexibility. Safran explains, “None of it was CG. It was 100% practical. That actor just looks like that, we created an amazing wardrobe for him. Skin tight latex-basically suit.

The Conjuring series has already spun off the Annabelle films as well as The Nun, which is filming right now with Corin Hardy in the director’s chair.

What do you think of this idea? I always thought the character of the “Crooked Man” was creepy as hell, so I’d be 100% into seeing him get his own film!
