New Cast Members Join Stranger Things Season 2
Back in early September we learned about some new characters being added to “Stranger Things” Season 2, but no casting news was available yet. Well, today an update has come about two actors who are joining the show as well as a pair of recurring stars from Season 1 who are now series regulars.
Per THR, Sadie Sink (“American Odyssey”) and Dacre Montgomery (Power Rangers, Safe Neighborhood) are our two newcomers. Sink will portray Max, a tough and confident girl whose appearance, behavior, and pursuits seem more typical of boys than of girls in this era. She has a complicated history and is generally suspicious of those around her. Montgomery will play Billy, Max’s hyper-confident and edgy older stepbrother. He steals girlfriends away from their boyfriends, is great at drinking games, and drives a black Camaro. But lurking under his apparent charisma is a violent and unpredictable nature.
Meanwhile, Joe Kerry (Steve Harrington) and Noah Schnapp (Will Byers) are the two who got promoted.
The nine-episode Season 2 arrives in 2017 and will be set in the fall of 1984.
