As the CornonaVirus continues to spread and people around the world hunker down for what could be a prolonged crisis, all aspects of daily life have been affected. “Business as usual” no longer exists. While the loss of life will always be the most tragic consequence of the outbreak, the loss of income will have catastrophic effects on entire industries. As horror fans and consumers of media, we’ve already seen the impact on the Entertainment Industry with many film releases being postponed and productions grinding to a halt. All of this as we approach the summer Blockbuster Season.

While changing release dates and putting productions on hiatus may not seem like monumental adjustments for a powerhouse industry like Entertainment, the financial hits already track in the billions, with projections of more significant losses coming in the short term. Additionally, many believe that the current crisis will affect studios for years to come.
