Exclusive: Nick Mennell Joins Friday the 13th!

Nick MennellWith Marcus Nispel's Friday the 13th remake nearing its April 21st start date, the pic has familiar names popping up all over the place that are joining the cast.

We got the exclusive word that Nick Mennell (who played the spectacle wearing Romeo, Bob Simms, in Rob Zombie's Halloween (review)) is flying down to Austin, Texas this Friday. Nick doesn't know which role he has been cast in yet, but it's a Jason flick so ... do names really matter?

Platinum Dunes has already cast Derek Mears as Jason Voorhees and some beautiful people such as "Supernatural" star Jared Padalecki and "The O.C."'s lovely Amanda Righetti.

I was hoping they'd get Pacino to play a hunter who teams up with the teens to blow Jason away. Oh well.
