Ratings are in for two upcoming horror flicks that are headed our way, and we have the skinny on how they fared in front of the MPAA! Read on for details.
Apollo 18 (release date: September 2nd, 2011) has been rated PG-13 for “disturbing images and language.”
Synopsis:
Officially, Apollo 17 — launched December 17th, 1972 — was the last manned mission to the moon. But a year later, in December of 1973, two American astronauts were sent on a secret mission to the moon funded by the US Department of Defense. What you are about to see is the actual footage that the astronauts captured on that mission. While NASA denies its authenticity, others say it’s the real reason we’ve never gone back to the moon.
The House at the End of the Street (release date: April 20th, 2012) has been rated PG-13 for “intense sequences of violence and terror, thematic elements, language, some teen partying and brief drug material.”
Synopsis
Directed by Mark Tonderai (Hush) and written by David Loucka (Dream House), House at the End of the Street centers on a teen girl (Jennifer Lawrence) who moves with her mom to a new town and learns that their home is next door to a house where a double murder took place. Complications ensue when the teen befriends the massacre’s sole surviving son (Max Thieriot). Genre favorite Elisabeth Shue co-stars as Lawrence’s mom.
