A few weeks back we had the opportunity to host the premiere of the latest short film from Mark Steensland, the adaptation of Kealan Patrick Burke’s short story “Peekers”. I would love to point you to it now but we only had it for 48 hours, so I hope you checked it out when you had the chance!
Over the holidays we got a heads up from Steensland with some very good news regarding the short; it’s currently been accepted into three very different but very cool film festivals; Fantasporto in Portugal, where it’s in competition, Dead by Dawn in Scotland, one of the coolest film festivals around, and North Carolina’s Nevermore film fest, where it was one of the highest-scored shorts in the fest’s history!
Congrats to Steensland and everyone involved! The director promised even more good news is on the way in the coming weeks regarding "Peekers" and all three of his previous short films, “Lovecraft’s Pillow”, “Sucker” and “Dead @17”, so keep your eyes peeled!
Make films cause you wanna in the Dread Central forums!
