In a recent interview over at Comic Monsters Ryan Schifrin, the writer and director of Abominable (review), talked plenty about how he came up with the idea for his new comic book, Spooks!
The title Spooks is the name of a "secret branch of the government that guards humanity from things that go bump in the night, and when the king of all vampires allies with the deadliest of witches, it unleashes an invasion of classic monsters on Washington DC, calling the SPOOKS team into action.
The concept, created by Ryan Schifrin (director of the cult horror hit Abominable) and Daniel Alter ( producer: Hitman) has been in the works for two years. When legendary fantasy author RA Salvatore (Forgotten Realms, DemonWars) and Larry Hama (G.I.Joe, Wolverine) came on board it was all the series needed."
Keep it here for more on Spooks as we get it!
