Ridley Scott Scouting Prometheus Sequel Locations
For the life of me I cannot understand why the Prometheus franchise is shrouded in so much secrecy. You're making a sequel? Good! Do it! We want it anyway so why all the games? Read on for the latest.
The Daily Mail in the UK is reporting Ridley Scott flew into Sydney on Wednesday morning and is said to be scouting film locations for his next project Prometheus 2. "It's the best kept secret at the moment, that Ridley is here to film the Prometheus sequel," an "insider" tells the site. The source went on to say that he and several other well-placed professionals only became aware of the project when Scott touched ground at Sydney airport on Wednesday, with pre-production remaining tight-lipped.
In the original film:
Archeologist couple Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace) and Charlie Holloway (Logan Marshall-Green) discover a star map that they interpret as an invitation from humanity's forerunners, the “Engineers.” Determined to find out more about them, the couple board the scientific vessel Prometheus, created and funded by Peter Weyland (Guy Pearce), CEO of Weyland Corporation. Lead by mission director Meredith Vickers (Charlize Theron) and monitored by Weyland’s android David (Michael Fassbender), the team of explorers find a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth and embark on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe, where they fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.
