Hannibal Eats Molly Shannon
Of all the women he could pick to eat, everyone's favorite cannibal has set his sights on a former "Saturday Night Live" funny lady with an obscure penchant for ingesting Schweddy balls. You know... in some strange way it makes sense.
TVLine reports that Molly Shannon has nabbed a top-secret guest role in NBC’s upcoming show "Hannibal."
Though details on her visit to cannibal-land are sparse, we can report that the guest spot is for one episode with the potential to recur.
Mads Mikkelsen will play the psychiatrist-turned-serial killer "Hannibal" in the 13-episode dramatic take from “Pushing Daisies” creator Bryan Fuller. Caroline Dhavernas (another Fuller alum from "Wonderfalls") also stars as Dr. Alana “Al” Bloom, a psychiatric protege of Hannibal Lecter who teaches psychology at Georgetown University and is consulting with the FBI on criminal profiling when she introduces her mentor to Laurence Fishburne’s Jack Crawford. Lara Jean Chorostecki plays Freddie Lounds, a sleazy tabloid reporter, and Hugh Dancy plays everyone's favorite criminal profiler, Will Graham.
Scott Thompson ("The Kids in the Hall"), Hettienne Park (Young Adult), Chelan Simmons ("Wonderfalls"), Ellen Greene ("Heroes," Little Shop of Horrors), and Aaron Abrams ("L.A. Complex") also star.
