Yet Another Resident Evil: Retribution Poster Featuring You Know Who

Well, at least they changed it up this time. Instead of Milla standing and holding guns, now she's running. Oh, and she's also running with Ada Wong. Excited yet? Don't forget about the explosions. Remember when this series was about zombies?

Written and directed by Paul Anderson, Resident Evil: Retribution stars Milla Jovovich, Boris Kodjoe, Li Bingbing, Kevin Durand, Shawn Roberts, Michelle Rodriguez, Sienna Guillory, Johann Urb, and Colin Salmon. Look for Resident Evil: Retribution in theatres on September 14, 2012, from Screen Gems.

The Umbrella Corporation’s deadly T-virus continues to ravage the Earth, transforming the global population into legions of the flesh eating Undead. The human race’s last and only hope, Alice, awakens in the heart of Umbrella's most clandestine operations facility and unveils more of her mysterious past as she delves further into the complex. Without a safe haven, Alice continues to hunt those responsible for the outbreak; a chase that takes her from Tokyo to New York, Washington, D.C. and Moscow, culminating in a mind-blowing revelation that will force her to rethink everything that she once thought to be true. Aided by newfound allies and familiar friends, Alice must fight to survive long enough to escape a hostile world on the brink of oblivion. The countdown has begun.

Five comments and nobody mentions Ms. Wong has found a pair of spotless heels to run in. Thats the ideal footwear for the apocolypse. That dress also looks more than restricting of her movements.

You know just reading over the synopsis and this line caught my eye...

"Alice must fight to survive long enough to escape a hostile world on the brink of oblivion."

Where is she escaping to? Are they launching her into space? Will there be somewhere she can stay stocked up on make-up and cat suits?

Not to mention that this world shot right past the edge of oblivion into full on oblivion at least one movie back when they ended up in a desert. Seriously, the cities are wasted and the majority of the things that move about the terrain are genetic mishaps, evil birds and flesh eating zombies. This is beyond mere oblivion. At this point its more like "fuck it. Cook up a dead cow, throw some mesquite bbq sauce on that bovinian bitch, crack open a keg of whatever alcohol you can find and relax as the last , lingering threat of what we once laughingly regarded as civilization gets the finger from the universe."

And you figure a world inhabited by monsters, zombies, men with gigantic axes, and assorted rabid raccoons, the world would already be considered in oblivion. I hope we see more of Alice and her video diaries.
