Drew Goddard Rewrites World War Z Ending

There are many heroes in the universe of World War Z. However, none of them will prove to be more valuable than the guy who can step in and save this troubled production. Enter The Cabin in the Wood's Drew Goddard.

According to Deadline, while reports had Damon Lindelof coming in to write a new ending to the Marc Forster-directed Brad Pitt-starrer World War Z, it actually was his "Lost" compadre Drew Goddard who did the bulk of the writing of the finale. Lindelof, who reworked Prometheus and co-wrote the Star Trek sequel, cracked a potential new ending of the film, but Lindelof didn’t have time to do the scripting so that task fell to Goddard, who most recently adapted Robopocalypse, which is Steven Spielberg’s next film at DreamWorks.

Interesting. Stay tuned.

If Pitt was to die a horrible death right before this movie gets released it could add to the box office success in the same way painting becomes more valuable when the artist dies.

C'mon producers, think about it... one assasination and bigger box office, you know you've done worse!

I doubt this is going to be a brilliant zombie movie like the book is a brilliant zombie story. At best I hope for a watchable generic zombie movie that entertains.

I'm still holding out hope for this film. Hopefully whatever problems can be worked out and a decent film can emerge.

Though personally, a mini-series like 'Band of Brothers' or even getting Ken Burns to do something with it woulda been more interesting.
