A Girl Interrupted on American Horror Story in Season Two
Here's an interesting bit of news coming in for Season Two of the hit FX series "American Horror Story"... It seems that the show's creators are looking for a special kind of crazy for its second run of spooky.
TVLine reports that Ryan Murphy and Company have quietly begun casting a major new Season Two arch nemesis for Jessica Lange — and they’re using one of Angelina Jolie’s most famous movie roles as their template.
The series regular character, Gia, is described as a fierce, ferocious, extremely sexual and dangerous wild-child sexpot who harbors a secret — “think Angelina Jolie in Girl, Interrupted,” reads the casting notice. As such, interested actresses should be in their mid-20s and Caucasian.
Production on "Horror Story"‘s second season doesn’t get under way until mid-July so producers are giving themselves ample time to find the right performer for the plum part.
In addition to Lange and Zachary Quinto, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, and Lily Rabe will also return for Season Two, each of them playing brand new characters.
