Powerman 5000 is back with what most likely will be the BIGGEST rock album of the year (we’ve been playing it here at Dread Central for weeks already, it’s that good), and here’s your chance to attend an intimate release party on the Sunset Strip.
Who said we don’t love you guys?
Taking place the evening of May 27th in conjunction with the release of their blistering new album Builders of the Future, Powerman 5000 will be wrapping up the American leg of their world tour (before taking off to Europe to play the largest festivals that continent has to offer) with an up-close and entirely personal live performance at the infamous Viper Room (8852 West Sunset Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA).
With the show expected to sell out in mere hours (at the time of this writing), Powerman 5000 singer Spider One and company (Richard Jazmin, Nick Quijano, Gustavo Aued and DJ Ratan) have been nice enough to provide us with two VIP tickets to the show, and we’re offering them up to our Dread Central readers.
Here’s how it works. Pre-order Powerman 5000’s Builders of the Future here (you’ll get a free digital download of the album’s first single “How To Be A Human” in the process, and you can also listen to that bad-ass track streaming below), and email your order receipt to contests@dreadcentral.com including your FULL NAME AND MAILING ADDRESS. We’ll select one lucky winner, and off you’ll go to the show.
This contest will end on at 12:01 AM PT on May 25th. Note that transportation is not included so LA residents or visitors only please!

Expect a full album review here soon, although I’ll go out on a limb now and say this is the aural horror/sc-fi slab of electro-metal awesomeness that Rob Zombie’s been trying to muster ever since Hellbilly Deluxe. (No offense, Rob; it must run in the family.)
