Troll Hunter Director to Chronicle The Adventures of a Demon-Hunting Soccer Mom

Now here's a gig that makes a lot of sense. Troll Hunter director, André Øvredal, has signed on to direct an adaptation of Carpe Demon: The Adventures of a Demon-Hunting Soccer Mom for 1492 Pictures.

Based on Julie Kenner's best-selling novel of the same title, it's fairly self-explanatory. A soccer mom by day hunts demons at night. Or something. Considering the odd concept, it sounds like Øvredal will be right at home with the material. He certainly knows how to balance the fun and the scares.

Unfortunately, we don't have any casting as of yet, but it should be fun to see who winds up taking the starring role in this one. Watch this spot for the very latest and greatest. This one has the potential to be something special, and that's why we'll be keeping close watch of it.
