Vampires Take the Red-Eye in Night Wings
An international flight is once again going to be terrorized by fanged fiends. But in the forthcoming teen thriller Night Wings, the threat isn’t venomous snakes. Oh, no. This time there are bloodsuckin’ vampires on this bloodsuckin’ plane!
The Hollywood Reporter brings news that Ember Entertainment has picked up distribution rights to the soon-to-be Canadian-produced vampires on a plane chiller Night Wings.
The film will mark the directorial debut of visual effects producer Dusan Strugar. His work can be seen in the Tomb Raider movies and the upcoming Chronicles of Riddick sequel.
Writer Paul Birkett must really love airplane monster movies seeing as how he also penned the 2010 airplane monster flick Altitude. He’s also the writer of three Syfy original movies set to premiere later this year.
The plot of Night Wings sees a 12-year-old boy on a red-eye flight over the Atlantic trying to convince the flight crew that vampires are on board the flight from Romania. Only one passenger believes the boy, a father seeking revenge for the loss of his son to the Count Radu vampire clan.
Fright Night on a plane, anyone?
