The Seventh Son Attracts Man of Steel's Antje Traue

The Seventh Son Attracts Man of Steel's Antje TraueAfter watching a guy running around in a red, yellow, and blue uni-tard for the past several months, can you really blame a girl for going out and finding someone who has super powers but is also a bit more macho?

According to Variety, German actress Antje Traue (pictured right), who plays the nefarious Faora in director Zach Snyder’s Man of Steel, has signed up for active duty on Legendary Pictures' The Seventh Son.

Formerly known as The Spook's Apprentice, the tale is adapted from Joseph Delaney's young adult series about a teen who's the seventh son of a seventh son and learns about wizardry from a forbidding spook. Jeff Bridges, Ben Barnes, Julianne Moore and Alicia Vikander are set to star with Sergey Bodrov helming.

Thunder Road's Basil Iwanyk, Legendary's Thomas Tull, and Lionel Wigram are producing; and Jon Jashni and Alysia Cotter are exec producing.

Look for it in theatres February 15th, 2013.

What's all this 'young adult' bullshit? When I was younger I read horror, sf and fantasy written for adults.

I think this category has been created purely for marketing purposes. It allows a steady diet of watered down derivative crap to be aimed at a younger demographic.
