It's Coming! Dread Central's Indie Horror Month Celebration Kicks Off March 1st
With March just right around the corner, we thought it was about time to unveil some of the awesomeness we've been busy putting together over the last month or so for Dread Central's upcoming Indie Horror Month celebration.
Started last year as a way to pay homage to the indie filmmakers who have been paving the way in genre movies over the last 100 years of cinema as well as celebrating some of the best and brightest new storytellers, our Indie Horror Month celebration runs every day in March and will feature over 20 written interviews, several short film debuts, reviews from various indie films that have been making waves on and off the festival circuit and tributes to some of our favorite independent horror pioneers as well.
For our second year of Indie Horror Month, we decided to kick things up a notch and sat down with a number of notable independent filmmakers, producers and actors to talk about their experiences and challenges while working in the industry.
And while we don't want to necessarily give away all the surprises just yet, we are pleased to announce just a few familiar faces that will be joining John Carpenter as part of DC's Indie Horror Month video spotlight series including Oren Peli, AJ Bowen, Leigh Whannell, Barbara Crampton, Scott Glosserman, Drew Daywalt and Charles Band.
Make sure to check back here on March 1st when Indie Horror Month kicks off with Part One of our exclusive video interview with the legendary John Carpenter, who discussed everything from Dark Star to The Ward and everything in between.
