The Discopath is Stayin' Alive on Candadian DVDOne of the darlings of last year’s Fantasia Film Festival was the wonderfully titled slasher film Discopath (review), and if you’re up in the Great White North, you’ll be bringing this loony home soon!

The Canadian home video rights for the bloody slasher were awarded to Black Fawn Distribution, who will release the DVD in Canada on June 10th. Juice Distribution will be the ones who release the film through iTunes on April 29th.

Katherine Cleland, Sandrine Bisson, Ivan Freud, and Mathieu Lepage star.

“We went to see Discopath because of the buzz it had received,” states Black Fawn Distribution’s Sales Manager CF Benner. “We were literally blown away because it’s a very unique film experience. It’s dark, it’s funny, and you’ll find it hard to wrap your head around the fact that this film wasn’t made over 30 years ago. Renaud’s attention to detail is really quite amazing, and we knew right away that we wanted horror fans everywhere to experience Discopath the same way we did.”

Synopsis
The mid-70′s. A timid young New Yorker leads an uneventful life until he is fatefully exposed to the pulsating rhythms of a brand-new genre of music: disco.
