Oscar Contender Headed to Snow Piercer
More talent is on its way to the latest film from the makers of The Host, Snow Piercer, and this one may soon be packing Oscar gold, Read on for all the details you need!
According to The Hollywood Reporter hot off her SAG and Golden Globe wins for best supporting actress, The Help's Octavia Spencer has joined the cast of Snow Piercer, the high-profile sci-fi indie project being directed by Bong Joon-Ho.
Chris Evans, John Hurt and Tilda Swinton already are on board, as is Korean actor Kang Ho Song, who starred in Joon-Ho’s international breakthrough, the Korean monster movie The Host.
Bong Joon-ho is helming from a script he penned with Park Chan-wook producing. Park is producing through Moho Films. Production is expected to start in March, though no distributor is yet in place.
The French graphic novel follows a group of people on a train without a final destination, struggling to survive after the end of the world brings on a cataclysmic ice age.
