According to Variety Invictus and Sherlock Holmes scribe Tony Peckham is in final negotiations to rewrite The Twilight Zone for Warner Bros. and Appian Way.

Matt Reeves is set to direct from a script originally penned by Jason Rothenberg.

Warner Bros. is targeting the film as a tentpole, and unlike the 1983 feature that had four separate storylines, this pic will have one story with elements from the "Twilight Zone" universe originally created by the late great Rod Serling.

This is another case of not understanding the property being adpated. The Twilight Zone put short stories on screen. For the Twilight Zone to work it should be a collection of short stories on screen.

Also, the script writer should be a science fiction/horror writer. Period.

Personally I've always liked the 1983 film.
