The strangeness of last year's cult favorite Birdemic knows no bounds. If you haven't seen it, man, you're missing out. Rectify that immediately, you lazy bastard. You must bear witness so you can be ready for the sequel, Birdemic II: The Resurrection! Speaking of which...

Bloody Disgusting reports that filming begins February 15th in Los Angeles on Birdemic II: The Resurrection.

While details are sparse, we do know this:

  • Hollywood will be the setting for an evil vulture/eagle attack
  • The La Brea Tar Pits will have a major role in the film
  • Alan Bagh is returning as "Rod"
  • The plot circles around a character named Bill shooting an independent film and trying to make it in Hollywood
  • James Nguyen will once again show off his mastery of the romantic thriller
