New Teaser Art for Cyborgs: Rise of the Slingers

Director Albert Pyun dropped us a line with an update on his upcoming Cyborgs: Rise of the Slingers (formerly Red Moon) and included a bit of teaser art for us to share. He's in the process of nailing down the project's lead actress and promises to reveal that info next week along with the full cast roster.

What he could tell us in the meantime is that "the film is very nasty and pure horror. My first all-out horror film." Music to the ears, right?

The screenplay is by Randall Fontana and Cynthia Curnan, and confirmed cast members thus far include Sasha Mitchell, Michael Pare, and Olivier Gruner. Cyborgs: Rise of the Slingers mixes steam and cyberpunk with post-apocalyptic vampire horror. It will chronicle the genesis of the Slingers, who were guardian mercenaries in Cyborg. And it will explain why the characters in Cyborg were named after musical gear.
