I, Frankenstein Borrows Actress From Chuck - Yvonne StrahovskiMore casting news coming in for I, Frankenstein. A familiar face from a hit sitcom has joined the stitched-up fold, and we've got all the details you need to know right here.

According to Deadline "Chuck" star Yvonne Strahovski has been set for the female lead in I, Frankenstein. She’ll star opposite Aaron Eckhart, playing his love interest, a beautiful and gifted scientist.

I, Frankenstein was written and is to be directed by Stuart Beattie and is based on a graphic novel by Kevin Grevioux, co-creator of the Underworld franchise. Lionsgate will distribute the film in the United States, Lakeshore will handle international sales, and E1/Hopscotch will distribute in Australia. A U.S. release is slated for February 22, 2013.

Lakeshore's Tom Rosenberg, Gary Lucchesi, and Richard Wright will produce with Hopscotch's Andrew Mason, while Grievoux will exec produce with Hopscotch's Troy Lum. Lionsgate exec Michael Paseornek will oversee the project for the studio. Production is scheduled to start in January in Australia.
