Ouija Shows Signs of Life?
Man, the dead sure can be chatty. The last time we checked in with the major motion picture adaptation of Hasbro's Ouija, the board spelled out S-H-I-T-C-A-N-N-E-D. Now, however, the planchette is moving once again.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hasbro drew a comparison to Walt Disney's recent decision to restructure the budget for The Lone Ranger. That is "the same process we have gone through on the Ouija brand," although at a lower level of spending, said Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner, adding that the script is in good shape and is being polished now, meaning that the film could be back with a studio shortly.
Now if only they'd embrace the true horror route the story is crying for instead of waving their Jumanji flag back and forth like a bunch of excited dollar-sign-seeing imbeciles.
